Dr. Matthew Genuchi received his Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Denver in 2010 and joined the Boise State University psychology department in 2011. Prior to joining Boise State, Dr. Genuchi completed his APA-accredited predoctoral internship at the University of Idaho Counseling and Testing Center. He also completed two years of clinical practice in the Boise area, where he conducted individual counseling and psychodiagnostic assessment with both children and adults. Dr. Genuchi’s primary research area is in the psychology of men and masculinity, specifically how masculine gender role socialization affects symptom presentation. He is also interested in the area of clinical supervision and establishing a model of clinical supervision competency that can be implemented in clinical training programs.
